Michael's Bridal Fabrics

Michaels Bridal Fabrics is a two generation family owned and run business, currently with 7 family members involved day to day. 

The company was formed in 1996, originally offering cut lengths just in basic qualities, like satins, chiffons and satin back shantung. 

We moved the business out from our home in January 2000, then in October 2012 we moved again to our current unit, which is twice the size of our previous premises. 

Around 2001 we started to significantly expand our range of better quality specialist fabrics like laces (400+) designs, embroideries and beaded fabrics. Then in 2004 we started running edgings and motifs, of which we now offer over 400 designs of each. After that in 2009 we started our button and accessories range, of which we now offer nearly 1000 articles. We also stock a range of Preciosa crystals, and now also offer many specialist haberdashery articles, like elasticated button hole looping, horse hair braid, non-slip elastic and various bonings. Many customers are now of the opinion that we have one of the most comprehensive ranges of bridal fabrics, edgings, motifs and dress accessories available in the UK and possibly even in Europe.

We aim to offer a fast, reliable and friendly service on our very broad and varied range of fabrics and trimmings, suitable for all bridal applications as well as mother of the bride, evening wear/prom dresses and ball gowns. Most articles are in stock and 90% of orders received before 2pm are sent the same day as ordering, on a 24hr delivery service (In the UK). We have no minimum order by length or value (however we do always cut to the nearest 10cm); and we offer substantial discounts to customers who pay quickly. Most payment methods are accepted (debit/credit cards, BACS or cash into our account). We can invoice and accept payment in either Sterling, Euros, US Dollars or Japanese Yen.

We currently supply our products to over 1200 customers a year in over 25 different countries and source fabrics from over 40 suppliers in 15 countries. We are the UK agents for Interstiss. Interstiss are a French manufacturer of jacquards and brocades, as well as digital printing; they are based in Lyon. Michael and Barry also make several trips throughout the year to Europe and further, visiting customers by appointment.
